I have battled with weight most of my life, there would be times when I would lose some weight by going to gym every day but eventually I would lose my motivation and slowly gain all the weight back.  Being overweight has affected many aspects of my life.  I felt self conscious about my weight, I was embarrassed to take off my t-shirt when at the beach, I tried to avoid those situations all together.  My relationships and romance suffered too.  All this was really getting to me emotionally, I needed a change but couldn’t find the way to lose weight.  It was not a fun part of my life.

I was getting desperate so just like many times before, I started hitting the gym and watching my diet.  After a while I did lose a little bit of weight but the change in diet made me irritable and I was starting to lose my motivation and started skipping the gym until I stopped going all together.

One day my luck has changed when I met my friend Jack I haven’t seen in a couple of years, I couldn’t believe what I saw.  Jack was always an average build type of guy with a bit of a belly… not anymore, this time Jack didn’t have a bit of fat on his body, his upper body was nicely toned with a flat stomach.  Jack told me about a program he was on and how it transformed not only his body but his whole life.  I took Jack’s words to heart and was fully recharged with drive and determination to transform myself to look like my friend Jack.  Following his advice was the best thing that’s has happened to me.


I have tried other programs before but this was different.  The whole approach to losing weight was very different than what I experienced before but it made so much sense.  The fact that it was just short 15 minute sessions which could be done at home was a huge plus for me.  After a week on the program I was already seeing some results.  I lost 10 pounds of fat in the first 2 weeks and ended up losing total of almost 60 pounds.  The amazing thing about the program is that it barely restricted my diet, I could still eat most of my favorite foods.  Staying on track is easy as the steps are easy to follow and to the point.  The one bad thing about I can say about it is that it starts off full speed but once I really got going I was hooked.  It takes so little out of my life but gives so much.

I wanted to share some of my pictures as I was progressing through the program burning fat and losing weight.  Once the extra fat was gone it was not hard getting my body fully toned.  I really think this is the fastest way to drop weight and never gain it back ever again, I know I never will.

Losing weight fast – My favorite home exercises

We all want to lose weight and get a toned body but with the hectic every day life juggling work, family and everything else there’s very little time left over to hit the gym burn off the extra pounds.  I know this was my biggest problem why I couldn’t lose the extra weight.  Every weight loss method I tried just didn’t fit in with my daily life and sooner or later I would quit.  A good friend has recommended a weight loss program so I gave it a shot and I’m glad I did.  The the steps are easy to follow, require very little time (as little as 15 minutes) and the results are felt very quickly after starting the program.  I lost 10 pounds in the first 14 days!  Not only was I getting results but I felt great.  If you want to find out what worked so well for me Click here.

Today I want to show you a few simple exercises you can do at home.  These are great because you don’t need any gym equipment and you can do them in your living room.

 

Push through crunches

This is an easy exercise to work the abdominal muscles.  Exhale as you’re contracting your muscles, inhale as you release.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Elbow to knee crunches

This is a more advanced version of push through crunches.  Don’t rest your legs on the ground while performing the elbow to knee crunch.  Exhale as you contract your abdominal muscles.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Push-ups

Push-up is a great exercise to tone up your chest and shoulders.  4 sets of 20 reps will really get your heart pumping and only takes a few minutes to do.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Knee push-ups

Hip extension with bent knee

Hip extension is a great exercise especially for women wanting to form the buttocks and burn off unnecessary fat.

Fastest way to drop 10 pounds – is there really a fast way?

So, what is the fastest way to drop 10 pounds? Most personal trainers and dietitians will tell you that the fastest way to lose fat is to follow strict exercise routines and diets. Strict diet and daily exercise will help you lose weight and get your body in shape.


But how long can you keep up this type of regiment?

Usually not very long and that’s the reason most people cannot lose the pounds no matter how many weight loss programs they try to follow. I have tried a dozen weight loss programs and the longest I have been able to stick to the program was 8 weeks. Yes, I did see results but the weight loss program has affected my daily life in such a dramatic fashion that I would slowly stop following the program and eventually get back to my previous life style and gain all the pounds back. That was until I discovered that the best way to lose weight is not long and boring cardio workouts but instead short bursts of no more than 15 minutes of all round workouts. The first time I heard about this fat burning technique I was not convinced.

How can a 15 minute intense workout be more effective than 1 hour cardio session on an arc trainer or treadmill?

The real trick is to engage as many muscle groups as possible. This will allow your body to burn most amount of fat in the shortest amount of time possible. Only after a week of doing short 15 minute bursts of exercise I started seeing results that were more dramatic than anything I have experienced before. Burning fat doesn’t have to mean long and boring workouts at the gym. If you have tried 60 minute cardio workouts you know exactly what I’m talking about. Substituting these long cardio workouts with 15 minute fat burning exercises can burn up to 9 times more fat in less than half the time. Having a routine that’s easy to do, takes very little time out of my busy life and delivers results fast is exactly what I was looking for.

My 3 favorite exercises that engage the whole body and get the fat burning are lunges, squats and pushups. These are great because I can do them at home in my living room and can burn much more fat than a long cardio routine. I will blog in more detail about some of the exercises which helped me lose weight quick.
